There are many factors to take into consideration when choosing a new kitten, but one of the most important that often gets overlooked, is how to choose the ‘right’ kitten. Although it can be difficult not to spontaneously take home the first cute kitten you meet, it is extremely important to take time and consideration, to ensure that the next 15-18 years results in a happy and enjoyable relationship between cat and owner. Kittens require good socialisation and exposure to life experiences very early on in life, between 3-9 weeks, to ensure that they turn in to well-rounded adults.

Regular readers of this blog will know that we are not shy about what goes on at the clinic, behind the scenes.  In fact, we are particularly proud of the individual care we take with each and every cat.  We are meticulous in our preparation for each procedure performed and our attention to detail both during and after a surgery or anaesthetic is bordering on the obsessive!
